When it comes to reviewing dating sites for Christian singles, some would argue that a Christian dating service site must be owned and operated by only Christians based on the Bible verse "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers..." in 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18. We disagree and here is why.

Certainly it is very clear that God does not want a single Christian to date or marry a non-Christian.

But we Christians are all "in the world, not part of the world." and nowhere in the New Testament does God instruct Christians not to do business with non-Christians. Otherwise us stuck up Christians could only shop at Christian stores, only wear Christian-made clothes, only eat Christian-grown food, only use Christian doctors, Christian dentists, only pay parking or speeding tickets issued by Christian police, and only drive Christian-made cars, etc. Jesus said "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone." Not one of us Christians is without sin. We are only forgiven, and cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ our risen savior. You can find just as many, quality Christian singles for pure Christian dating at a non-Christian dating service like Match.com, with 25 million members, as you can at ChristianCafe.com which is the largest Christian owned and operated Christian dating service on the Internet. Use only Christian owned and operated businesses if you wish to, it is your personal freedom in Christ, but do not bend the scriptures to justify it. No matter who owns it, Christian or non-Christian, if a business is cheating customers, that is a very good reason not to do business with them. But do not bend 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 or any other verse to make it say something it does not. Take a few minutes and read this excellent 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 sermon on being a distinctive Christian as you go forth into the world.

This is just as bad as the time at our Bible church when one of our short-haired ushers, dressed in a fancy suit and tie, discriminated against a long-haired young visitor who was tattooed, pierced and dressed in what some conservative Christians would consider non-church attire--jeans. That young man came because a loving church member invited him, but he has not returned. Gee, I wonder if he received Christ-like love and acceptance on that Sunday morning?

Now, with that said, we totally agree with Christians who boycott BigChurch, but only on moral grounds because it is owned by Penthouse(pornography)Magazine Company.

Because not all Christians know who owns it, you are just as likely to find Christians at BigChurch as you are at A Singles Christian Network which is the 2nd largest Christian owned and operated Christian dating service on the Internet.

With all this in mind, please accept the facts set forth in our Christian dating service reviews without confusing the issue about each individual Christians choice to obey the Lord's instructions in 2nd Corinthians 6:14-18 not to date or marry non-Christians.

By all means exercise the freedom we have in Christ to find and date only Christians, using the Christian and non-Christian owned dating services reviewed here as the Lord leads you.
